About Seibert Media

Seibert Media is one of the largest Atlassian Solution Partners in the world, and a growing Google Cloud Partner. Our business is built on three different pillars: 1) We resell Atlassian and Google software licenses to our customers and manage their software license portfolio for them. 2) We offer a broad range of consulting services around Atlassian and Google Workspace and help customers get the most out of their software usage. 3) We develop software apps that run as extensions to Atlassian’s core products and can be purchased through the Atlassian Marketplace.

With around 400 employees and annual revenues exceeding 100M € in 2023, Seibert Media is headquartered in Germany. We have entered the U.S. market in 2023 and are trying to grow our footprint in North America. We are looking for talented and motivated people to join our team and help us replicate the success we have in Europe on this side of the pond.

Job Description

We are currently looking for someone to help us become a relevant player in the Atlassian license reselling and consulting space in the U.S. We believe that a sound brand strategy and a smart marketing strategy are crucial to reach our goals. We are looking for the right person to build out these strategies and implement them for us. Seibert Media has always had an inbound focused approach - we put a lot of high quality content out there, so that customers looking for services in the markets we’re active in will reach out to us. With that being said, the following tasks will be part of the Marketing Specialist role:

Focus on the U.S. market. We are looking for a marketing specialist who will be responsible for our marketing strategy in the U.S. You can pretty much start on a green field. While we have a small but solid customer base we are already serving, we don’t do a lot of marketing yet and can start from scratch.

Your best buds in Germany. The business we’re trying to build in the US is already big in Germany and Europe. We do have a successful brand and we are putting out a lot of marketing content. And we have quite a few people working in marketing and sales in good, old Europe. While you are free to think differently for our U.S. branch, we also expect you to work closely together with Germany and sync with them to establish a coherent image.

Know your marketing tactics. As our marketing specialist, you will be responsible for setting up a holistic marketing strategy. We expect you to be familiar with different marketing tactics and know how to use them to address the U.S. market. You should be well versed in content marketing, social media, online advertising, event marketing, and social selling, amongst others.

Thinking outside the box. We expect you to think outside the box to bring attention to Seibert Media. We have always been big on guerilla marketing tactics and would love to continue to do things that stand out and attract attention. A little rebel spirit will go a long way.

Marketing automation. You should know your way around marketing automation. As a German company, we have been held back by privacy laws and GDPR to make full use of tools like Hubspot to learn about our customers and target prospects. We would like to use marketing automation tools more in the U.S. and learn how we can apply them to help our marketing and sales efforts.

Get your hands dirty. Strategic thinking is a must and will be a focus, but you will also need to get your hands dirty. We’re not a startup, but we’re building a new team in the U.S. and that requires you to take on all jobs that are necessary for the time being. The overall success of our marketing is what comes first, whether it requires a task that is in your job description or not.

Qualifications:

  • You are in the USA or Canada and permitted to work there.
  • BA/BS degree is strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing is required. The more you have seen, the better.
  • Good communications skills over email, phone and in person are a necessity.
  • You should be a diligent person that can work autonomously. You will have a field of responsibility and we expect you to own it. We will provide you all the help you need, but we will not be holding your hand and have someone by your side every step of the way.
  • Ideally, you have experience in the Atlassian ecosystem. If not, experience from another software ecosystem is a plus. You should have a track record of successful marketing gigs.
  • You need to be a strategic thinker who can create an overall vision for our marketing.

Benefits:

  • We are the U.S. subsidiary of a German parent company and bring the full range of social security benefits from the German labor market to the U.S. This includes 25 days of vacation, 11 US holidays, paid sick leave, better employment protection and health care.
  • We are a company with a strong culture that has been refined over the last 25 years. We have a set of core values that are not just babble, but that we use as guidance for making good decisions every day. Our company is still founder-owned, after 25 years of business in the tech industry. Which says a lot!
  • We expect you to take advanced training classes to improve your skills and become a master of your craft. We promote further education and expect you to proactively hone your skills.
  • Hours are flexible and have to be coordinated with only your team and, of course, our customers. But, in general, we don’t care when you work.
  • We will provide you with all the equipment you need, starting with a Macbook and iPhone. As you will be working from home - no commuting, yay - we will also provide you with basic inventory you need for your home office.

And now?

We look forward to meeting you!

We want to get to know you, and by you, we mean whatever it is you bring to the table (especially if it's cake!).

We want the best person for the job, and offer you an inclusive workplace where you can be your authentic self.
