Follow these instructions to safely uninstall the Linchpin Intranet Suite for Confluence.

We strongly advise to uninstall the Linchpin Suite API (formerly Linchpin Manager API) at the very end of this process.

This API plays a central role in the communication between Linchpin and your Confluence system. Uninstalling the Linchpin Suite API (formerly Linchpin Manager API) too early might lead to major errors which can only be solved by restarting your Confluence instance.


Uninstall the Linchpin Intranet Suite for Confluence

Backup your data

To back up your data, please first make a copy of the database. This is usually done by your Confluence system administrator.

Navigate to the Confluence administration

To uninstall the suite and its plugins, you will need to head over to the Confluence administration.

Navigate to Confluence administration → Manage apps.

Uninstall the Linchpin Intranet Suite

First you want to uninstall the Linchpin Intranet Suite. This will remove the suite and all licenses.

Search for "Linchpin Intranet Suite". Click on the Linchpin Intranet Suite tab. Then, click on the Uninstall button. Confirm this action by clicking on the Uninstall app button.


Please make sure to refresh the page once in a while to verify that all apps were uninstalled correctly.

Uninstall the single apps left behind

After you've uninstalled the Linchpin Intranet Suite, some "app leftovers" remain. These apps won't be active anymore, but they need to be uninstalled completely.

There is no particular order of apps which should be uninstalled first. Just make sure that the Linchpin Suite API (formerly Linchpin Manager API) is uninstalled last. This is the one and only exception.

To uninstall an app, click on the tab with its name. Click on the Uninstall button and confirm this action by clicking on the Uninstall app button.

After you've uninstalled the Linchpin Intranet Suite and all (inactive and active) Linchpin apps, it's time to uninstall the Linchpin Suite API (formerly Linchpin Manager API).

Click on the tab with Linchpin Suite API (formerly Linchpin Manager API). Click the Uninstall button. In the new window, click on the Uninstall app button to confirm your action.

Make sure that every single Linchpin app was uninstalled

It is important to uninstall every component of Linchpin. Remaining apps could cause problems after the new installation of the Linchpin Intranet Suite.
