Welcome to Linchpin Intranet Suite 5.8!

First of all, the Suite itself: We've ensured the compatibility with Confluence 8.6 with this release.


Linchpin Events: You all waited for this: Events can now be recurring! Configure a whole series of events at once, no more copy & paste (smile) We've also implemented caching to improve the events loading performance. It may be a good idea to increase the available memory on your instance. (wink) The following rule of thumb can be applied for the maximum recommended additional heap space: "number of users * number of events * 8 bytes". This "worst case" only applies if all users are attending all events and are permitted to edit all events.

Linchpin User Profiles: The macro People Search & List now features an expert mode to select People via CQL statements. Furthermore, you can now insert a birthday list for today or this week using the People Search & List macro!

Linchpin Touch: Images and PDFs can now be viewed in a full screen mode. Tapping on it does not open another detailed dialog with only the image on it, but the image is displayed as large as possible on the entire screen.


Of course, we've also worked on bringing you some quickwins, improvements and bugfixes with this update.
