Summary & Highlights

Welcome to Linchpin Intranet Suite 5.2.1!

Please note that the Linchpin Intranet Suite 5.2.0 was an internal patch release.

This release of the Linchpin Intranet Suite drops the support of IE 11 & Microsoft Edge Legacy and introduces exciting new features, improvements and, of course, takes care of some bugs.

We prepared a short summary of the most important changes, so you can keep track of them. To learn more about a specific topic, simply use the navigation to jump to that part of the release notes.

The Linchpin Intranet Suite isn't compatible with the Internet Explorer 11 nor Microsoft Edge Legacy anymore. For more information, visit https://seibert.biz/linchpin-ie11-support.

Now, let's go on with features and innovations.

We made the Microblog compatible with Actonic's GDPR (DSGVO) and Security for Confluence app. This means that, should you be using Actonic's app, a deleted user's data will be anonymized within the Microblog, too (with the exception of mentions at this time). For more information, visit https://seibert.biz/anonymize-data-microblog.

Moving on to Linchpin User Profiles. You can restrict the visibility of profile fields, now. Documentation: https://seibert.biz/restrict-profile-field-visibility

We also added an integration with MS Teams! You can start direct chats in MS Teams directly from within Linchpin profiles! Documentation: https://seibert.biz/lup-ms-teams

We introduce an MS Teams integration for Linchpin Enterprise News in this release, too! You can push your news to MS Teams now! Documentation: https://seibert.biz/len-news2msteams

When it comes to Linchpin Events, we added a new filter to the event hub: You can view all the events you signed up for with just one click! Also, we optimized the integration of event notifications with MS Outlook.

And finally, a change which brought Linchpin another step closer to accessibility: We improved the structuring of the dashboard so that screenreaders and similar tools have an easier job dealing with Linchpin.

What happened to version 5.2.0?

When updating from a version before 2.0.1, or from versions 3.0.0 / 3.0.1, you might be affected by an issue that could cause the installation or the update of the Linchpin Intranet Suite to hang. Please follow the steps described in our knowledge base prior to updating.

    • This change is true for the Linchpin Suite and all its child apps.

Bugfixes

  • We fixed a bug that prevented existing pages to be found when trying to link them.
