What is a footer?

A footer is a line or block of text appearing at the foot of each page of a website.


How to access the footer configuration

Navigate to Confluence administration > Linchpin Theme > Configuration > Footer.

Alternatively, click on the settings icon in your Linchpin header, then click on Theme > Footer.




Style your footer content

You can style your footer accordingly to your corporate design.


Background color

Set the background color for your footer. 

You can use our built-in color picker or enter a hex value (for example #000000 for black).


Color of headlines in the footer

Set the color of the headlines inside the footer.

You can use our built-in color picker or enter a hex value (for example #ffffff for white).


Color of links in the footer

Set the color of the links inside the footer.

You can use our built-in color picker or enter a hex value (for example #ffffff for white).




Footer content configuration

Linchpin Theme gives you the option to create your own footer links.

This feature is available since Linchpin Theme v2.9.0.



Access the footer content configuration

Navigate to Confluence administration > Linchpin Theme > Footer configuration.



Add new footer columns

You can have a maximum of 2 custom columns inside your footer.

To add new columns, click on the + Add column button.




Edit footer columns

Click on the edit  button inside the column you wish to edit.

A new window will open. Here, you can define the column title.

Furthermore, you can add links to your footer column. Click on the + Add link button. Now, insert the name of the link and the address of the link.

Activate the New tab checkbox if you wish that the link will be opened in a new tab.


Click on the Apply button to save your changes.


Tip

You can delete links. To do so, click on the delete button next to the link you wish to remove.
