How do I access the footer configuration?




Navigate to Confluence administration > Linchpin Theme > Configuration > Footer.

Alternatively, click on the settings icon in your Linchpin header, then click on Theme > Footer.

How do I add columns to the footer?



You can add as many columns as you want. To do so, click on "Add column" button. There you have the option to choose between a text column and a link list column.

Your created columns are held in white, the standard columns are held in light grey.

You can not edit the light grey columns as the links in the columns "Online Help", "Intranet Tools" and "Administration" as these are the default columns.


However, there are some things that you need to take note of:



To decide which of your columns are visible, click on the eye icon. You can also hide the default columns "Administration", "Online Help" and "Intranet Tools" by clicking on the eye icon.



As you can only have five columns visible at the same time, you need to make one column invisible before you can add another one.




You can also drag and drop the columns to change the order of the shown columns. Simply click on the drag and drop icon that's shaped like a cross and drag and drop the column to the position you wish for it to be seen.

What can I add into a column?

You have the choice between a column text and a column made out of a list of links.


How do I add a column with text?



To add a column with text, click on "Add column" within the Footer configuration and select the column type Text.



To add text, click on the pencil icon and type in the text you want. Click on "Add" to add the text.

You also have the option to add bullet points or lists. You can also add a link.



How do I add a column with a link list?



To add a column with text, click on "Add column" within the Footer configuration and select the column type Link list.



To add links, click on the pencil icon and type in the name of the link as well as the destination URL. You also have the option to have the link to be opened in a new. Simply check the box underneath the heading "New tab".

Click on "Add" to add the created list of links in your column.


Tip

You can also delete links. To do so, click on the delete button underneath the Action heading.
