Welcome to the Linchpin User profiles for Confluence Cloud!

This guide was created to help you with the setup of the Linchpin User Profiles for Confluence Cloud. See what can be configured and how you can do it.

For more information, make sure to view the full Linchpin User Profiles (Cloud) documentation.

Define a group for contacts

In some cases, you want to further define, which users should be available in the contacts list. This can  be useful to limit the amount of contacts offered in the list, or to exclude some users to be shown there, e.g. technical users.

To do so, head over to the Settings and locate Contacts in the Sidebar. In the first tab User group configuration, you can select a group. All Users, that are part of this group will be shown in the contacts list. By default the confluence-users group of your instance is used, to show all users available in the contacts list.

Import contact information

With the Contacts app, you will be enabled to enrich your user entries with more powerful details. These details will be listed on the Contact list page. Since Atlassian offers poor information about users, the Contacts app provides a feature to import these user details.

Search contacts

Locate the Apps Menu in the top navigation and select Contacts. This will open the contacts list. Here you can see a list of all available contacts in your Confluence. To find the information of a specific person, enter their name or parts of their name in the search field. The contacts list will then load all matching persons.
